Common questions

How do I switch reading plans?

Me → Settings → Active plan. Switching is silent — your old plan keeps its position and resumes where it left off if you switch back.

How do I add a prayer card?

Pray tab → tap the + in the top right. Free accounts can have up to five active cards at a time. Marking a card as answered (swipe left, or tap and hold) frees the slot.

What does “cleave” mean?

It’s an old English verb meaning to hold fast, to cling, to be devoted to. Four passages of Scripture name the practice this app is for — Joshua 22:5, Psalm 63:8, Acts 11:23, and Deuteronomy 30:20. You’ll find them inside the app at Me → About.

Does my data sync between my iPhone and iPad?

If both devices are signed into the same iCloud account and have iCloud enabled for Cleave, yes — through your private iCloud container. Cleave never sees this data.

How do I cancel Cleave Pro?

iOS Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Cleave Pro → Cancel. Apple handles the cancellation; we don’t need to be involved.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds for App Store purchases go through Apple, not us. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, find the Cleave purchase, and request a refund.

What translations do you support?

v1 ships with the King James Version (KJV) for the in-app reader. Tapping a reading also lets you open it in YouVersion, ESV.org, or Bible Gateway, where you can choose any translation those services support.

Why three notifications a day?

Morning is for the readings. Midday and evening are for the prayer cards — checking back in on the people and decisions you’re holding. The lock-screen text is always the same generic line; nothing private appears.
